As an experienced buyer’s agent and investor, I assist people who are short on time and market knowledge but are eager to secure the right property in Sydney. With a background in real estate, including running my own agency, I became a buyer’s agent as I recognised that my passion lies in finding and securing exceptional properties for my clients.

My journey in the real estate industry began as a sales agent with Ray White in the late 1980s. I established several businesses, including an independent real estate agency and an executive travel firm, and became a certified mortgage broker while working for realestate.com.au. With the travel industry facing challenges in 2020, I shifted my focus to real estate, dedicating myself to assisting home buyers in their property endeavours.

Over 20 Years Real Estate Experience

My approach is grounded in an excellent understanding of the real estate industry from an inside perspective. As a project-orientated person, I enjoy taking on home buyer briefs and working closely with clients to research, find and secure suitable properties for them. Reading people and situations, spotting hidden opportunities, and negotiating effectively with selling agents are my key strengths, and my goal is to create a win-win situation for both parties in a property transaction.

From the high-interest rates of the 1980s to property booms and market dips, I have experienced every type of real estate market. Residing in both the lower north shore and the eastern suburbs, I have a strong sense of what these communities offer buyers. Raising my children on Sydney’s lower north shore and belonging to football, soccer and yacht clubs on both sides of the harbour, I can also assess the lifestyle opportunities of a particular property and navigate the micro-markets within Sydney suburbs. Based in Potts Point, I assist home buyers across the eastern suburbs and lower north shore. Handling briefs that often take me to other parts of the city, my role is to ensure clients find a great property and pay a fair price.

It’s my firm belief that with property, you make money on the way in, and my job is to find those opportunities and maximise them. With more than thirty years of experience in real estate, I have seen almost every scenario and can pre-empt any potential pitfalls and challenges when securing a property. My clients are typically time-poor and in search of clarification as to where and what to buy and how much to pay. They may have been the underbidder at auctions and are now feeling deflated or are struggling to find suitable properties in the market.

My job is to assess properties, work out their worth and negotiate on my client’s behalf. Often the selling agent will entrust me with their client’s motivations and what will get the sale over the line, so I can then put my clients in the best position to match the seller’s motivation. Opportunities can be found in all market conditions, and I always keep an eye out for suitable properties being sold by an out-of-area agent or homes that have been sitting advertised for some time.

Over the past 20 plus years, I have bought and sold 20 properties myself. Building my own portfolio of homes across Sydney has further honed my market knowledge, and my investment success is due to my ability to buy property based on facts and figures, not emotion – a skill I now bring to my clients. The negotiation process is something I particularly enjoy, and I also like working with overseas and interstate buyers who entrust me to help them navigate Sydney’s real estate market.
